like it matters, but this is an ignorant statement. there are plenty of extreme metal bands out there that use melody and catchyness as a big part of their sound... morbid angel/belphegor and countless other death metal bands have alot of that in their music

there is no way that sunn rates beneath the complete and utter faggotry on display in the last several youtube videos, no fucking way. sunn may not exactly be a towering bastion of originality, but there's at least something there, even if it's not all that fun (or downright unpleasant) to listen to.

there's such a dearth of ideas in mass-marketed music that apparently the only thing they could come up with is a gimmicky, hideous amalgamation of like, the worst elements of popular music from the past five or ten years. there's no songwriting or even a minimal attempt at coherence, just a bunch of disjointed parts that have nothing to do with one another all slapped together, fed through an auto-tuner, and pushed out the door.

and apparently this is popular?

everyone who listens to or produces this shit should be killed

I've had it in my head for a while to actually play pi, but not in the retarded way they're doing it. I was going to allocate each number to the relevent fret on one string and then move them so that it would be playable.
