haha, you mean charge it to a random stranger's credit card?
nope, no such thing as far as i know. find someone you know that already bought them, login from their account and download them to your machine free of charge. otherwise you'll just have to wait for the GotY disc to come down in price, which is what i'm doing

Well I wouldn't mind doing that, but I did actually mean logins of somebody who has bought them already, there's bound to be rich bastards that have bought virtually everything on there... just somebody needs to hack their password and give me it that's all.
Ya know just like finding porn passwords floating about the net.

Can you purchase Final Fantasy 7 on the PS Store? That factor alone is a key role in the decision of me and my girlfriend getting a PS3

Yeah it's on there... 8 is supposedly going on it at some point too. I didn't get it, finished it too many times and pretty much done everything there is to do. Besides I have the .iso knocking about in a folder somewhere.

FF8 is basically the only FF that I ever thoroughly played. Played 10 and 10-X for a while but it didn't hook me as much as say...Baldur's Gate 1 or Morrowind.

charging silly amouts for dlc's is a masterstroke from the gaming companies, its basically free money for them.

I played through crisis core, at first I thought it was all kinds of awesome, but it quickly gets repetitive as shit and the materia system is really crappy. All the missions are ridiculously simple and far too similar.
I downloaded the jap version of that dissidia thingy and although I admit I had no idea what I was doing, it did seem pretty darned awful, since when the fuck can all those characters fly?! Why include crap like Onion Knight and 'Warrior of Light'? They aren't even true characters in my opinion.

onion knight = FF3, light warrior = FF1, the point of dissidia was to represent every game in the main series

Re: PS3 Store
oh, and i finally, FINALLY beat tactics for the first time ever after i bought it on PSN!
it's challenging at first, and i had always just assumed it would be just as much a pain in the ass the whole way through. i discovered in previous attempts that once you build up at least one monk/ninja, it gets easier, but it was never quite enough to carry me through. having a jacked up bard/summoner and blackmage/calculator makes the game almost too easy, and once you get orlandu you would have to actively try to get yourself killed to lose.

most of them are pretty useless, but agrias and orlandu are both fucking powerhouses. orlandu especially since he comes with an excalibur! there's another guest you get late on and i forget their name, they're useless except they come with a free save the queen and some nice armor, which is pretty powerful. i stripped her gear down and kicked her off the team

This is the truth. Monk Ramza with 2-Sword Ninja thingy, double punch pretty much kills anything but bosses.

haha yeah. slap counter on his reaction slot, and use his squire ability to max out brave and you can just park him in the middle of a map, the enemy units will pretty much kill themselves

It is, until you realise he's level 1 and his abilities are pure gimmick. He's probably the single worst character on the game.
Has anybody got the new version with that Balthier hard-on bearer? I don't know what game he's from, but he's pretty much the best long ranger on it, give him one of those good elemental guns and he's awesome.

Re: PS3 Store
he's from FF12. i never saw an awful lot of utility from ranged weapons aside from a couple early missions when you lack a lot of good long-distance options. later on, between wizard/calculator, summoners, dragoons and holy knights and all that jazz, i found guns/longbows to be pretty lacking.
i guess in the PSP version though, they're a bit more viable as you don't have the option to JP-glitch some of the jobs to master them quickly

Re: PS3 Store
So on my dinner break today I went to GAME store to see about getting the new COD:MW2... holy shit it was packed! All the staff were dressed as soldiers, one hard-on bearer came up to me with a totally faked gruff voice and was like "Are you interested in the new Call of Duty game? It's awesome... £44.99" I said yeah I was, sat for 15 mins in a queue and then told him I sard wasting the rest of my break and went back to work.
I shall purchase this at a later date.

i'm getting it for free for PS3, that stuff only applies to the PC version which did get fucked pretty horrendously. sadly that's all business as usual for consoles.
they did mess that chart up though, LAN play = yes = bad?

sadly, they didn't mess the chart up. iirc, you have to connect to IW.net to play in LAN=>worse. they fucked this game so badly, i'm really hoping they crash and burn and everyone at the company dies a horrendous death and they don't make any more games
and here's the highlight from that interview:
No, PC has custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings.
does ndmg work there?
