just checked the Avid website... don't see much new for PT9. Sure, it's a big advantage you don't need hardware anymore to run the DAW, that's great. And a few extras you get which you'd normally pay for, OK... well I really did that so no thanks. Still nothing new that I can't do with my PT8 Factory Pro bundle and Waves 7 plugs.

on another note, I do like the new HD interfaces. They even have 2 mic pre's on the front and look very sexy

Read into it a lot more and I must say that I was wrong with my previous comment.

PT9 has some really nice assets and advantages! 259,- euros to crossgrade from LE to 9 for me, really want this. All I need now is to update my OS to OS X 10.6.

freezing while loading projects - but to be honest i think it's a VST problem. I only use ezdrummer and guitar rig vst's, after removing them and loading a project with that uses them the program starts up fine. but i need those progs

I was going to write: Launchpad, because OS-X users apparently miss Windows 3.1, but after looking at it, all I can think of is a cluttered Windows desktop. (You know the kind...)
