Legato exercises all the way up and down the neck. :bang:

Now here's the problem with what you just said...

Writing more than technique. I could use to brush up on my scales, but for only having a vague memory of their position and function I've been able to write leads/full songs just fine.

Not saying it's not important. It would probably make the process much easier and understandable, I've just been getting by without it.

It took me a lot of work to get guitar pro to spit out that ascii tab, and you're going to play L on fret L, and you're going to do a pinch harmonic in the key of L, and you're going to write me about how it sounds. :waa:

I've heard that L, regardless of the octave, is always the brown note.

You're thinking of J.

That's right, L is the one that summons whales.

It only summons them insomuch as it brings them continuously to orgasm. I try to stay away from L, because I just don't need to be followed around by whales. They're rather conspicuous.

I tried an L minor arpeggio earlier. Now I'm pregnant.

That's what you get when you mess with primal forces of nature.

I'm writing quite intensively at the minute. I started back playing my electric after a break (what was i thinking? :frown: ) Ive got about the guts of 5 songs written, but i cant play them through from start to finish. So that is what i am practising. I'm enjoying the fuck out of the guitar these days.

Some are more full on fruital than others. One is like a gr1m neurosis/crytopsy hybrid called 900 days about the seige of stalingrad. One is called spineless, gutless and is gory but mainly about cowardice/emasculation. It's more straight-up 250bpm with lots of tremelo picking/eighth note carnage. Loads of fun.

It needs to be posted later indeed.

Right now I'm just trying to practice some songs (like MA, Terrorizer and Behemoth), but I'm trying to tackle some Spawn of Possession and damn it's really hard. :homework:
