Kinda puts your guitar playing into perspective...

So I found this video of an 11 year old kid playing "Get Out of My yard" by Paul Gilbert. And the thing is that el Gilberto plays the beginning arpeggio part on a doubleneck with only three strings on the bottom neck all tuned to E, and he uses a human capo live. This kid does it all on a standard 6 string.

derp
he's a great guitarist for his age but most shredders like that never go on to make memorable music. he might be known one day but probably the same way rusty cooley is know.

There is often an inverse proportion of shredding ability to song writing ability...

That's basically what I was going for with the original video. I meant "perspective" in the most open ended sense. "Some 11 year old kid can shred better than you. What do you get out of that?"
Kid is pretty amazing though.
