This is some pretty cool dark drone sounds. What did you use on this one?

Yeah sure, but what effects units and techniques are you employing? I can get similar sounds by 100% wet reverb and pitch shifting, but there's not much control of notes etc.

Here's one example: the track that sounds at times almost a jet engine, going up & down in pitch? That's a Kramer Barretta, going into a Digitech 2101 preamp/multiFX on the 'Holdsworthian Fifths' setting (IIRC), from there into a Digitech Studio 400 multiFX with a detuner and a stereo reverb patch set to 100% wet output, going into a TC Electronics M3000 reverb with that set to 100% wet too, thence to the DAW. I've got the bar pushed all the way down so the strings are flopping off the body, then very slowly raise and lower the bar while picking the strings right by the bridge for that metallic edge.
