What is your preferred string brand?

For me, D'Addario. Started with Ernie Balls, tried Elixirs, and then tried D'Addarios and never bothered looking for another string brand.

I started with daddario as well. Then tried ghs for awhile but I’m back to NYXL’s and they are amazing

Also had Elixirs once I think. And Fender on my tele but they sucked. Went dead really fast.

I also tried out gibson flatwires once. Very strange but they were alright.

always used ernie ball, 11s and sometimes 12s

but it seems like most death metal guys use daddario for some reason so i'll probably give them a shot at some point

Elixirs were kinda cool, to be honest. I liked the way they feel when they're fresh but it's just that they go bad really fast.

Can’t wait to get the NYXL 7 string set on my Universe

I think the ernie ball cobalt strings are alright.
But I’m gonna stay with my trusted d’addarios.

i've used ernie ball strings for over 10 years and i think they're great, that is all

ernie ball. just got a pack of cobalts to put on my 7321 because it's had the same set of strings for like 3-4 years, but sard has taken hold

like everyone else here i tried elixirs back in the day and they were great for like a day or two, but once the coating wore off they were dogshit.

Actually that is the very sentiment of everyone I know that have tried Elixirs.
