These days, whenever I do covers, I mostly find myself playing songs from the following bands:



Judas Priest

Exodus

Slayer

King Diamond

Sodom

Possessed

Sepultura

Mayhem



I usually play the main riff from a song or two from either of those bands whenever I'm warming up or whenever I just want to jam along to random stuff and just have a good time while playing the guitar.

I haven't jammed to covers in awhile, but it's usually been Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Mayhem, and Nifelheim.

that's a good thing though man, often it's more fun to just play your own shit
