This stupid program has done nothing but crash on me lately, ever since I started working with more tracks and vst's it's been acting like an asshole. Anyone else use this version?

I used a cracked version once, unstable as hell. The last properly cracked version of cubase was SX3. Now I just use Reaper which does everything I ever needed Cubase to do(record guitars, vsts, EZD+DFH, etc), in some sense better since it's way smaller and faster(the installer is like 3mb).

I feel like a douche for telling you to try out LE 4 and here it is crashing like crazy

How is SX3? I think that's the version I might have had on my old pc

Best one I've used, the H2O cracked version works really well. Way more functionality than the basic "LE's" you get bundled with sound cards. I stopped using it because I got a pc with vista and the installer wouldn't work on my PC(although people say it does work on Vista), so I got used to using Reaper which is really not much different.

I recently discovered that sx3 works on my PC again apparently(probably because of windows updates), but as much as I liked it back then, I sard going back to it now. :redneck:

I was just doing some googling and some people were saying it works with Vista. I'll have to download it. I wonder if LE 4 files work with it

just get reaper. its better than everything out there pretty much besides logic and protools. all reaper needs is a better way to edit in groups (especially with drum edits) and it'll probably be just as good as protools/logic.

It's just a shitty version I guess, Cubase is super easy to work with, that's why I'd like to stick with it. But If not Reaper seems like a good switch

ya it is super easy. im not a big fan of the plugins though. and the EQ that it comes with is ok at best.

v2 was free but they wanted a donation if you used it 30+ days (but you didn't have to donate). v3 is free for 30 days and then you have to pay for it.

Dragging and dropping in LE4? Yeah I had that problem. Not in Reaper though. Make sure you configure everything alright, are you dragging the files to a midi track?

Some help:

I think that thread used to have a really good video tutorial on using EZD with reaper. But I don't think you need to do much to get it working.

The problem wasn't in Le 4 it was Reaper, but thanks for the links I'll check them out.
