recently acquired this excellent pedal



the Rat has been my favorite distortion for years, and this is my favorite one I've used



from blues to fuzzy stoner stuff to Morbid Angel



yes it can be used as a metal pedal, but there's always going to be mids in the sound no matter what you do. the mids being highly present is part of my favorite thing about Rats.



honestly I believe if one can't make a Rat sound good, then one must not be a very good guitarist to begin with

you'd think MA fans would be interested in the pedal Mr. Trey uses

i think people are sick of fuzz pedals

the Rat is a distortion pedal

just trying to spur some actual discussion in the musician area

so much discussion in this section of the site, I nearly lost my thread here

My sister started asking me about the Rat 2 and she doesn't play, so I suspect she's intending to get me one for Christmas.

Ever since I got my POD XT, I never looked at pedals anymore although like many others, the metal zone was the first distortion pedal that I ever bought. I do use the rat model on some of my patches.

just got a behringer modded by the best modder ever

I've a Behringer delay I really like.
