best ones?

the higher-end roland v-kits were typically the best, but i haven't paid attention to these things in several years. so that may have changed

if you want to jam some electronic drums then do it.



i have a roland td-6 module which is older but it doesn't matter because i can still jam with it. i also have some better than stock drum pads too and an axis longboard pedal. you could probably shop around for individual pieces and save some cash if you didn't want to buy a complete set.



i also have a DW 9000 Double Bass Drum Pedal that i don't use and should probably sell

get you some cheap real drums on craigslist

i would pour money into an acoustic drum set if i had a place for it
