I finally got it recently! sounds better in person
exactly what I've been wanting in an Od/distortion
can't replace my fuzz pedals, but that's not why I got it!
this > White Face Rat reissue
it has the same LM308N chip, and can be had for less than $100 used

doubt it has a rat that does what the LM308 chip does
that Axe FX shit is pretty neat though, my cousin actually has said, dude actually uses it with fuzz boxes, for a "best of both worlds" sorta dealie, seems to work well for him and sounds great

still digging new tones out of it
really dig how it can get glitchy and crazy in the right settings
I enjoy the hard and soft clipping selections, and that you can bypass either section
V is the vintage RAT LM308, T is like the newer Turbo RAT but with the LM308 chip, G is a germanium op-amp, this one can work as a germanium overdrive all the way to synthy video game sounds, and M is a nice sounding mosfet overdrive, basically sounds like you just dialed in more game on your amp
you can stack the hard and soft clipping sections or just use one setting. I typically use just one, either the Turbo or Vintage RAT
