I have ein Alnico Nailbomb in a Charvel Model 5a



Sounds pretty good to me, it has lots of low end but it's still tight with focused mids, kinda that Jon Schaffer Iced Earth sound going on. Think the song Stand Alone.



For more modern brutes; I hear the Ceramic version of the Nailbomb kicks ass.



All that 'djent' stuff everyone and their granma wanna do, people seem to be using the Painkiller lots. Seems to be one of the tightest in the 'metal' type pickups.

i should really explore/learn more about pickups.

ive got a warpig in one of my jacksons, its cool but its sort of got this annoying djent feel that is hard to shake.

I've wanted a set of burnt chrome Nailbombs for christ knows how long, I've just never been able to justify the expense.

I'm still digging my Dimarzios, but I've heard mostly only good things about these

I was interested in buying Nailbombs, but in the end went with Duncan '59 and Distortion for my seven stringer. Couldn't be any happier.

BKP pickup price is a bit too steep.

warpigs out of the 3 sets are by far the best in terms of huge outragous tone



the aftermaths i have are only good for djent, so far been really hard to eq that shit out but to no great success. however they are very big and clear sounding
