When I first tuned out of Eb I was really upset because I couldn't play along to MA or a lot of other stuff anymore. It actually helped me a lot though. Not being able to play along to other songs forced me to focus more on my own stuff.

My one guitar is tuned to C standard. My old one was, as well, but if I were to reacquire it, I would tune it to Eb.

my RG570 is set up for standard, and i've been keeping my 7-string in Bb. if i could be bothered, i'd set up my mockingbird for Eb and just keep my 7 in B/drop-A, but that's way too much effort.
