I think these are the most bad-ass looking guitars in existence, I would kill to play one.

I love the look of Vigier's strats, the Marylin not so much. A local store carries some of Vigiers and they look way better in person, didn't ask to try them though.



I love my Charvel model 5 and Ibanez UV7BK(pic not actually mine, mine is a bit worn unfortunately):







They feel and sound great, lots of sustain and the huge frets make playing more enjoyable. I am a huge fan of Charvel guitars.



I'd like good guitar with nice exotic woods with no finish someday, no idea what brand but it'd definitely be fixed bridge, string-thru, and either a sharp V or a Ibanez RG style body.

i never was a fan of telecaster models, but that one is nice they do play great tho, compared to many other fenders.

Well. that you guitar says ESP instead of LTD so that one will be over 1500 € for shure. That Ibanez is very cheap compared to it; only 3-400 € depending where you get it! And yes, that is a Blackout.

Cool...well that's just a dream guitar anyway. I checked around and the ESP's base price is around US$1299...looks like a bit pricey for its features but they say it has really good playability. Still, I'd only probably buy it if I had some dough to spare.



For a more realistic guitar that I do want to save up and get my hands on, however, I choose the Korean-made ESP LTD MH-400NT. Been hearing a lot of good things about this guitar and how it is a really kickass guitar perfect for death metal at a fairly reasonable price (around US$600, more or less, if I'm not mistaken...more than half the price of the ESP!).

I'd like these 2, and one of these as a 7 string.

I love Ibanez guitars, or at least the high-end ones. For the kind of money you pay, there's really no better guitar in the world. I played one of these once, and I can honestly say it played and sounded twice as good as any PRS, Gibson, etc. I've even laid hands on.

Also, I'd love to own this, although without all the knobs and bullshit. I thoroughly subscribe to the Karl Sanders philosophy that the less you have in your signal path, the better your tone. Having all sorts of gadgetry in the way (none of which I'd use) just gays up the works.

You could just get one of those direct out switches Framuses have, flip the switch and the bridge pickup goes right to the jack.

Yeah I know. I always thought custom guitars were pretty dumb when they put a billion knobs and controls on them.



Most I could ever justify is the standard 2 tone, 2 volume set up.

Some fenders(I think the Eric Clapton sig model) have that switch too built into one of the knobs(you push it in). You can buy those pots/switches and install them yourself too.

Is it a mahogany version of the 321? I had a 7321 and whilst it was alright, I discovered those bridge designs are seriously shit and you'll snap a million strings.

Yeah that's a 321MH. "Mahogany oil finish", it's actually basswood like most RG's, but damn it looks rad. A more exotic expensive looking wood would be cool too(and a matching headstock), so long as it's not the typical flame maple stuff.

According to the Ibanez website, the body is Mahogany. Reviews say it's really light though, and mahogany is a heavy wood.

I guess they are kinda the same, but they must be made out of cheap metals or something. Mine got a little sharp nick thingy going on in the first few saddles, probably from all the palm muting, and it started snapping all my low strings. Never had this problem on any other guitars, both TOM's and Floyds. I tried lubricating and cleaning it mericilessly with an old tooth brush, but to no avail.

i.m.o i think that the roadworn/made to seem old and worn guitars are pretty lame. Same goes about guitars with those graphic arts on them.

wear your guitar out, and if you like the artwork buy a friggin poster or something

maybe one of you duders here could help me identify my ibanez i have sitting here rusting to death..i havent researched it too much but i do know the serial number makes no fucking sense.

It's most likely S-serie guitar but have no idea of the model number.

Honestly, for me, I think the most I could deal with would be one pickup switch, one volume. But I'd rather have just the pickup switch. In the future, I'd like to get a guitar with just a bridge pickup, wired straight to the jack.

Despite the nice curves, I have to agree with zimberly on this one. That thing is an abomination to my eyes.

Speaking of Jacksons, that guitar player from Bullet For My Valentine has his own signature Rhoads with a reversed headstock, EMG 81/85 pickups and a fixed bridge.



I gotta admit, it does look decent except that those inlays look weird on a Jackson and well...yeah...the fact that it's a signature series guitar for one of Bullet For My Valentine's guitar players. Now, if only Jackson would offer this one as a standard variation of the Rhoads model instead of it being a signature series axe...
