Yeah, that's what I've been noticing. He's just so casual about all of it. This leads me to believe that I'm probably attacking too hard when I play Emperor stuff. He's just kind of brushing the strings.

picking dynamics are one of the simplest things that many guitar players neglect, that can have a huge impact on your tone



of course lots of you probably use so much damn distortion, no one can probably make out what you're playing anyway

i thought that the first time I heard Emperor.



he really does play guitar like a "folk-player" (maybe he only had an acoustic for years?) and that really does give Emperor that extra spark
