is that the same hammer he used in the music videos?

The Scarabs were not that populair. They were made outof Explorer body's (Hamer Standard) they reissued them a few years back in that XT series but the old US are better guitars.

I think they look a little goofy with that thin lower horn. I prefer them as basses actually.
