I know there are many bands on here that I do not know. Can you step up and give a shout-out for which band you are currently in or have played in?

Thanks in advance

I've been playing in a lot of bands when I started out, but that was years ago.

The last band I was involved with was Sovereign, nowadays reformed and renamed to Order of the Source Below.

When I'm graduated I'm going to work on creating a band or at least a cool project for myself.

I have played in a number of bands before. Atm in a band called Sculptor (vox/guitar). So far we have had only one demo CD called 'The Verdict'; it was released in 2008. You can download it for free, it has been floating across the internet for some time now.

Currently, we are writing an album, which is different in a lot of ways comparing to that demo CD, I hope it will get released before the end of this year.

That demo CD is streaming on our myspace page (apologies for it looking shit, but our web presentation will get an overhaul once we actually have something to announce regarding our activities).

You can check it out at myspace.com/formsculptor :santa:

there are quite a few notable examples but i'll let them speak up for themselves.

but there's one in particular i can't sit idly by and fail to mention:

NDMG from the world-famous and critically-acclaimed brock lesnar tribute band karmablade is a long-time MABB contributor, although he seems to have busied himself elsewhere lately

been playing bass for years in various bands and play most styles.

SLIMEY THINGS

we play sci-fi rock or as people say "Zappa/Bungle/Primus-usque" music.

1 EP, 2 CDs, 1 DVD + rare limited DVDs of some shows

http://slimeythingswebsite.com/

SERIOUS BEAK

grind/prog band I just recently joined.

meshuggah meet early dillinger but more grindy with King Crimson type prog/experimental sections.

before i joined they supported so many killer bands, Napalm, fruital Truth, Exhumed, Cephalic Carnage... etc... :tear:

recording the debut this (Oz) winter

DYKE DESTROYER

horrible, horrible noise band. we get booked as a normal band then destroy with noise... it's funny.

1 CD

http://dykedestroyer.bandcamp.com/

LEROY

sexy parliament funk/pop.

we get the hottest chicks at these shows... and the singer is real sexy... fun music & gigs to play

Thank you to all the above. I will definitely get searching and check out your music. There are so many musicians on here and I very much want to support MABB members in their projects. Plus this helps give me some idea on broadening my own music listening. :santa:

the oldest one is ANGELCORPSE(gone now 1995-2008)...got a couple of other works under the names of BLASPHEMIC CRUELTY and also APOCALYPSE COMMAND...the main current band would be PERDITION TEMPLE, which is the direct continuation from where ANGELCORPSE left off, at least from my side of things...all of which are some form of "usually" high speed Black/death variation, a bit of a slightly different writing slant to each one of them...

I guess i noticed this board not too long ago while trying to dig up some info about upcoming MA album and figured I could hang around and cause some turbulence here and there...

Anyways..........

I am the Scott. I have done nothing with notable distribution.

previously: Morpheus (originally an experimental mutli-genre nightmare with nice dark themes but devolved into a joke pissthrash punk band :homework: - 1997-2007 ) http://myspace.com/morpheus

Psychotic Assault (death metal I was in during 2006 but it started ~2002)

currently: Æsk (tentatively titled, influences are rooted in black metal, thrash, death metal, doom, shoegaze, and 70s-80s death rock; began writing for it last fall)

Last time I seen him was at Punchys D.O.W. Studio house....back in October last year....we're all not too big socialites...anyways, while I was mixing my APOCALYPSE COMMAND album during the afternoons, Trey would come in right after I was finished to do his guitar tracking...so we wrapped about whatever, heard really early rough cuts of the new stuff...he's for sure into some of that whack techno/hard dance stuff but from what I gathered his logic is that (in his mind) there are similar vibes for people grinding to really harsh techno as to headbanging at a metal show...can't say I'm entirely with him on all that but to each their own....

I play guitar and do backing vocals in a death metal band called Zealot Cult (<!-- m -->http://www.myspace.com/zealotcult<!-- m -->)

You can grap our EP for free at this location <!-- m -->http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22696229/Zealot ... 202010.rar<!-- m -->

We'd be more oldschool than the newer bands doing the rounds, our influences are Morbid Angel,

Incantation, Immolation, old Deicide, early Cryptopsy, early Cannibal Corpse (Chris Barnes era) etc.... all the good shit :bang:

There are enough bands on the MABB to assemble a festival.

:bang: :xx: :bang: :xx: :bang: MABBfest :bang: :xx: :bang: :xx: :bang:

There's probably also enough sard to keep that from happening. :redneck:

Thanks again to everybody for sharing this, great to have it all listed in one area

Not yet. As far as I know they're still searching for a label or are busy recording their debut. I'm meeting up with their singer next week who's going to design the tattoo I was talking about. I'll ask about it then. I REALLY want to hear the rest of their upcoming release, also since I was a part of it for a short time.

i've been in and out of a few bands over the years the the one long term and serious band i've really ever been in was amongst the ruins.

i'm pretty sure damn near everyone here knew that though.
