Vai's new Ibanez sig, the PIA

Supposedly an evolution of the JEM, they said. And I thought the JEMs looked hideous with those monkey grips but this is just....




I'm sure it plays better than it looks but definitley meh on the looks department.

eh this doesn't do anything for me. there are tons and tons of awesome guitars coming out these days by smaller shops and i guess this is trying to make the gem stay relevant but it's meh

I remember trying JEMs before and I thought those are really great-playing guitars. But too many pickups, metrosexual aesthetics and a hole in the guitar is just too much. This however, looks hideous.

I like the original jems a lot but these are horrible looking.

If i was a guitar player in morbid angel. i would play these two guitars ...

I have the original 1992 version of that universe. Best guitar ever.
I have not tried the premium reissue though.



Also those PIA guitars are fugly I do think they play great. I aboslutely love JEMs.

The new onyx-black Pia is very nice, but I still think the green one is <3
