I was working on that in C this past winter. Not a hard song to play but very, very fun! :grimbeard:

I was trying to do it in C# but with a 30" scale on my guitar, it's pretty hard to tune the strings up past B. Plus if I played it in B but shifted up to C#, it was a gigantic pain in the ass.

its really a fender bass vi copy (short scale 6-string bass that's supposed to be tuned E-E in bass range) but I have it strung like a baritone.

i learned the first part of moonlight sonata by beethoven on guitar. :xx: also some simple iron and wine off the top of my head.
Treys solo tone actually sounds a bit thin to me on Domination. It's definitely got a wah sound to it, even if he's not moving it with food it sounds like he has it turned on.
:xx: Moonlight Sonata is one of my favorites. I learned Shchedryk last year (very easy); maybe this year I will try Moonlight Sonata.

yah, obviously its not virtuoso-technically difficult, but its effect requires much touch and subtlety. beautiful "song" though. lol, on a side note, one time during college, in symphonic band, our instructor asked us why we weren't focussed. i said, "maybe its because this "song" is so abstract and strange (it was) that its hard for us to stay focused." he said, "well i wouldn't really call it a "song". (obviously he was implying that it should be called a "piece" or something.) :redneck: anywhoo, random story.

boring guitar playing is what drove me into tech death metal. after playing metal songs with my first band for a year or two I realized how the strong structures and riffing were so repetitive and I never really liked it.
