been working on the goreslamming gutturals

Post by SCUNT »

anyone on here that can perform any time of extreme vocals have any tips? I wouldn't say I'm bad at it, I've actually noticed improvement the more I've practiced at it, just want to work on enunciation and getting it louder. any tips are awesome :santa:

I never could figure out the low guttural style (like necrophagist or dying fetus). I have absolutely no clue how to perform those vocals, even after reading and experimenting tons. I would put my self in the Corpsegrinder/Steve Tucker style of dm vocals tbh. I think I have potential but I haven't practice in a long time. I don't have any tips other than just keep going at it. oh and cupping the mic = :piss1:

From what I've read, a healthy tablespoon of honey and diaphragm exercises are recommended for guttural vocals, among other things which I am not aware of :santa:

I can do them pretty good (ruben style) but it took me years to figure out how. Tip #1 don't smoke! that shit hurts after about 10 seconds if you smoke. That's all I got :santa:

I'm not worried about doing pig squeals. I guess I should show everyone what I've been practicing to and influenced by

I really want to get a clip up for critiquing

I'm not trying to be the next Ruben or anything, just want to be able to do them well enough where I can just record the vocals myself for the solo project I'm working on  :winkwinknudgenudge:

just put in a earbud in one ear, then try to work at the sound as you listen to music. then visualize what you are doing in your throat. Movements and such.
