Alex's right hand technique as I know it seems absurd. Playing in threes but accenting every fourth stroke seems strange to me.

Not really, I can play like him (although not nearly as good, obviously). It feels real natural once you get it down, you really aren't accenting anything, it's just when you first started learning it, you kinda had to count every stroke and after 4 strokes you did the same 4 note pattern starting on the next finger.

I think it's similar to DiGiorgio's technique, isn't it? Though I think Webster alternates the fingers that he starts with, I don't think DiGiorgio does.
