DYING FETUS: New Album Title Revealed - June 4, 2009

Baltimore, Maryland's DYING FETUS has set "Descend Into Depravity" as the title of the band's seventh album, due on September 15 via Relapse Records. The follow-up to 2007's "War Of Attrition" was recorded at Wright Way Studios in the group's hometown with producer Steve Wright. Additional album details, including a preview of the artwork, will be made available shortly.



DYING FETUS will begin a massive world tour in support of "Descend Into Depravity" this week as it embarks on the annual Summer Slaughter Tour alongside labelmates NECROPHAGIST and ORIGIN as well as SUFFOCATION, ENSIFERUM, and many more. This five-week North American trek will kick off on Friday, June 5 in Baltimore.



Following Summer Slaughter, DYING FETUS will join HATEBREED and CHIMAIRA for the month-long "Decimation Of A Nation Tour" beginning in August. DYING FETUS will then hit the road in Europe alongside CANNIBAL CORPSE this fall. This four-week tour will also include OBSCURA and EVOCATION in the mainland followed by ANNOTATIONS OF AN AUTOPSY and TRIGGER THE BLOODSHED in the United Kingdom.

Not that I care about new DF, but I would love to see Summer Slaughter this year. Not that I care about new Chimaira, but I wouldn't even mind seeing them again in the fall.

The tour starts tomorrow, I'm really anxious to see if Necrophagist is going to bust out some new material. I'll be attending the tour on the 12th.. sucks that 5 incredibly fucking gay bands are going to be mixed in with 5 good bands. Who books this shit?

...yes. I thought that was obvious. they do have a new one coming out soon though. I guess you have to admit that it is impressive that they've been able to draw as well as they have on a record that came out 5 years ago.

According to this interview Muhammad said he wants Summer Slaughter 2009 to be the release tour. It would be weird if they just busted it out as a surprise but that would be unlikely.

Oh okay, I thought we are still talking about Dying Fetus. I didn't bother reading the parts with the word 'Necrophagist', that's why.

I love dying fetus, ngl. but i havent been keeping up with them lately.
