James Lollar, the mastermind behind dark synthwave outfit GosT has died. A statement issued on the social media of the 46-year-old musician was shared online this morning, April 02nd, revealing that Lollar‘s death occurred yesterday, April 01st. That statement reads as follows:

“The whole GOST team is incredibly saddened to inform you that James Cody Lollar, known as GOST, passed away yesterday. We are sending all our prayers to his family and friends during this time of grief. He will be remembered as a wonderful human being and a tremendously talented artist.
We kindly ask that everyone respect the privacy of his loved ones during these difficult times. He will be deeply missed by all.”

Ive heard of the name but never listened to the sounds. Its a shame when talent goes too soon. R.I.P.
