Alternative metal supergroup Tomahawk have confirmed the itinerary for their much-rumored live return this year. The group, who feature members of Mr. Bungle, The Jesus Lizard and Battles, will be embarking upon their first tour in 13 years. Sludge metal veterans Melvins will be accompanying them. Tomahawk guitarist Duane Denison commented:
“In the spirit of the Olympics, Team Tomahawk has decided to rise up and go for the gold once again – also competing will be our cohorts the Melvins.”
Melvins vocalist/guitarist Buzz Osborne went on to say, “This tour is a no brainer. I can’t wait. A Melvins/Tomahawk trek will be a stone groove.” The latter outfit will be partaking in the trek with a lineup configuration consisting of Dale Crover, Steven McDonald and Coady Willis, in addition to Osborne.
This summer U.S. run has been dubbed the, ‘A Huge Waste Of Your Time And Money Tour‘. A pre-sale has been set for this Wednesday, February 25th at 10:00am local time with the password ‘Flashback’. The general onsale will launch this Friday, February 27th at 10:00am local time.
