DCD is a band that i think everyone wants to cover and absolutely nobody should, and this is no exception
at least it wasn't a lisa track though i guess
(i like this one too)
this was the other one that immediately came to mind and while i think it's better than the CD one, i could still do without it (and that's coming from a completely hopeless ulver fanboy)
brendan & lisa's voices are simply too distinctive and integral to the sound, and the sound is where all DCD's magic and mystery reside
yeah, they've been solid since like 2012 (which is where they really cemented themselves), death atlas pushed them into the stratosphere though.
2009
I don't disagree, just from a status perspective 2012 is when they really started to shine.
And could finally headline a tour on their own
correct. I saw them play some headline shows before that but they were always in DIY or shitty dive bars, not full blown tours.

Macey sent me some DCD when we first started being friends, some interesting stuff but never really delved into it.

Dave Otero, their producer since Monolith, has been an instrumental part of their sound, and pushed them to greatness. Check their new documentary on the making of the last record.
Also, didn't know that Dead Can Dance cover existed.

Their latest album that made it into my playlist was Karma, Bloody, Karma and somehow this band just fell off my radar for the loongest time. I remember being interested into them mainly because the guitarist was using the weirdest guitars.

Haven't really kept up with Cattle Decapitation in recent years. Remember jamming Humanure back in the day, good times
