William Brent Hinds was killed Wednesday night in a crash while on a Harley Davidson when the driver of a BMW SUV failed to yield while making a turn at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Boulevard, according to vice squad.

Just so bummed about all of this. At odds with his ex band, his fans, and even I said some unfavorable things about him after he split with mastodon, he didn't want to be there it and showed, then it turned into one big mess

yeah, this is a total gutpunch, and i say that as someone who has never felt especially strongly about mastodon. truly fucking tragic. what an awful resolution, what else can you even say

i was ready for the whole arc of brent going solo and making some cool album and hopefully eventually getting over the mastodon drama and all of them being cool again
