I think me and lummo have the same youtube account :redneck:

Awesome era for sepultura, but I wonder if the turmoil in this band was already boiling over, I'm not too much in the know with the whole split, other than max left after his step sons death

I think that had something to do with it. A quick goog says that happened in August of 96, so 4 months before he left.

His wife was the band's manager or some shit too. That had a part in it as well if I remember.

The rest of the band wanted to take their career to the next level and get a different manager that wasn’t max’s wife Glorisa (I guess there were some decisions made that the rest of the band didn’t agree with before hand). Max obviously wasn’t gonna do that and then his stepson died while they were on tour and they ditched. Next time they met there was a huge fight and the rest is history.

Gloria played a major part in the break up, but Max had a hand in it as well. I mean for fucks sake, his own brother sided against him.

Shit hit the fan after the show that became the live album.

I've been listening to a few post-Max Sepultura songs a lot, notably Roorback and Alex.

Soulfly had some good albums. Great live too back in the early 2000s.
