They’ll never top their earlier works, but I will say the band as a whole sounds waaaaaaasy better then they did a decade ago. Flo is still the master.

nothing after once was not has really sounded like cryptopsy to me. modern digital sounding production took away a lot of mood. the new stuff is perfectly fine death metal but it's been a different band for a long time now featuring drums by flo

Not having a second guitarist also impacted the songs I think.

i agree, i don't know why they broke that pattern of always having two guitars

their self-titled album is still good. that and what came before once was not, the rest is shit

in better news this thread has inspired me to listen to OWN four times today and it has been fun

i saw them with lord worm which was fun, it was a metalcore fest and they headlined the first day, very few people, second night full for BMTH and this was like 2006
