not a surprise that metal's most terminally self-absorbed dink is back at it again. unbearably boring, dude is an irredeemable scumbag with nothing to show for it. whoever runs prophecy is unbelievably stupid.

I think most people's beef with this dude is that he ripped a lot of fans off. I could not give a shit about any opinions or stances he holds, dude is just a scumbag grifter.

Just like the quotes in the video i'm one of those people who couldn't give two shits about him as a person, but I think nachtymystium wrote some good albums that I still like a lot

it’s not about backlash. i listened to the whole entire four minutes which is comprised of two alternating riffs. i don’t know how anyone can know this hard-on bearer’s rep, watch a video of him gloating about every bad thing he’s ever done, promise to do it again over the most high school ass songwriting, and go “hell yeah this is killer riffs dude here is a record contract”

So I guess the song and the video has nothing that goes together, and the video was solely done buy the record company. Honestly not the best choice

the video actually does a pretty good job of summarizing it, but he's a former nazi, inveterate scam artist, heroin lover, and an absolutely mediocre musician. there are plenty of bands that came up in the 2000s that have been more or less canonized, it's no shock nachtmysticum is seldom discussed these days outside of rehashing his prolific manbaby behavior.

(to be clear, as a general matter i don't have any problem with heroin users, and have known quite a few who are lovely people)

Black Meddle Part 1 is one of my all-time favourite albums. I've liked nothing more from them, sadly, and had no idea about this dude and his fuckery. Oh well.
