Stabbing’s Bridget Lynch Fills In For Suffocation As Ricky Myers Takes Ill
After joining Suffocation onstage amid their ongoing tour together for a guest appearance, Stabbing vocalist Bridget Lynch has recently taken to filling in on vocals for the band. Suffocation frontman Ricky Myers recently got sidelined by illness on the trek, leading to Lynch stepping up in his place at the band’s immediate shows.
Speaking of that opportunity, Lynch commented:
“I’ve been doing guest vocals on ‘Liege Of Inveracity,’ and Terrance and Charlie pulled me aside maybe 15-20 min before their set yesterday to ask me if I could do the set, minus some songs. I was like, ‘Holy shit, are y’all fucking for real right now?’
The place was packed and a lot of people came out for Suffocation, so it would be a bummer if they had to drop—the show must go on—so I said fuck it and did it. It was an honor and a dream come true, but I was also so nervous my legs were shaking. I just went on stage after they introduced me thinking, hey, I’ll do my best! Hopefully I did them proud.”
