The best song on the album. That final clean vocal section is *chef's kiss*

I would love to see them go even more experimental with the clean passages and overall sound

I just can’t get into the last two. Terrasite is better than death atlas but doesn’t touch monolith or anthropocene. Agreed with Zim. Every track just sounds so safe and sterile. Vocals are too busy, still too much of that goblin bs. Less is more, let the music breathe a bit, Travis.

To Serve Man was their last album that I liked and listened to extensively. Everything after that sounded the same with a lower quality production.

I get that this is your opinion and all, but that's possibly their worst album with very rote songwriting and the usual A-Z deathgrind at display. They've only matured with every subsequent album, musically and production-wise as well.

Re: Cattle Decapitation - Solastalgia
I guess that's it and I don't see anything wrong with it. I personally like to keep things pure these days. Bands with descriptions like 'death metal with progressive jazz influences' or 'atmospheric bla bla bla' usually bore me as I've probably heard and seen enough of those in my lifetime.Corpsepyre wrote: ↑05 Nov 2023, 18:56I get that this is your opinion and all, but that's possibly their worst album with very rote songwriting and the usual A-Z deathgrind at display.
