Katatonia Announce Fall North American Tour
Swedish prog metallers Katatonia will spend a significant portion of their fall on the road in North America. The group will be out touring on their latest album “Sky Void Of Stars” on that trek, with openers currently TBA. Tickets for the run will be up this Wednesday, August 30th at 10:00am local time.

didn't really find the new one too compelling past a few listens but i'd still like to see them. and i'll have the day off following the boston show anyway so i guess that's a gimme.

dance of december souls and brave murder day are the true classics in their catalog, but like most other bands that made their name in euro doom current at the time, they had a pretty marked stylistic turn after those. i would also expect those to be pretty lightly represented if at all on their current tour. so, worth checking out simply because they're incredible albums, but probably not great as show prep specifically.
i'm not super acquainted with the transitional albums from the early 2000s, but they're all pretty decent - ryan or ninny could probably better fill you in on the middle period stuff. out of their more recent offerings, i really love city burials, fall of hearts and night is the new day.
