It doesn't matter, nor is it a big deal, it's metal and thats all that matters, but this video sparked this thread Idea and its basically what I have always thought about these two genres

I always just assumed speed was stuff like Motorhead, Anvill, Annihilator, etc. basically proto-thrash... the lines do tend to blur quite a bit though.
When you hear the term speed metal, do you think of thrash
I think of the vibe I got when would go to my fellating lover's place and he had the brand new 'Speed KIlls Vol.I' on vinyl and we'd listen to it at neighbour-killing volume with many beers.
