Listening to this a lot again. I remember this being the last Dimmu album that I enjoyed. Still a good album all throughout.

It's not bad, but I didn't listen to it much. I reckon their albums since then are good too but they have not been listened to because when the dimmu mood arises I go straight to the classics

definitely never listened to this one, i think DCA was the point where i'd completely fallen off. i remember being into puritanical well enough when it came out though. i don't think i've evisited these dudes in that 20 year stretch either, come to think of it

drums and orchestra/keys down and more absorbed into the mix, no clicky drums and not as bombastic, a bit more clarity on the bass

Puritanical has always been one of the clearest sounding records to my ears although the mix does clearly favor nick barker's drum sound. Not so sure about the need to remaster it, though.
