Most bands in this genre sound like they're trying to be My Bloody Valentine so I'd say them.

I really like some shoegaze bands and have heard some really nice tunes back in the day. I'm just not in the know when it comes to certain bands.

Honestly I don't know of many shoegaze bands, but there are a handful of bands that I like that may not technically be shoegaze, but are similar and associated with the style

I'm sure there's some post-rock jams that fall under this.

shoegaze is basically mbv and 500,000 bands that are trying to be mbv
