I'm happy to see them touring with Morbid Angel.
I see them once here, in Budapest, love their energy!
For me they have their flaws as all new, "modern" bands has, but their among the few that I listen to.
Also it's funny for me that their EP sounds much better then their album...mixing is a hell of a thing
What do you think about them?
What are their strengths and weaknesses?
What's your favorite song from them? (Violence the worthy truth, for me!)

i like vitriol's energy a lot but i don't think they've written any great songs. kyle is a really fierce guitarist and has some cool solos.

Well, yeah, there aren't any very outstanding songs yet. I'm not a big fan of this song structure which is common now days either.
Violence the worthy truth is my favorite, the first riffs are very groovy, epic, but that could repeat during the song.
They could also mix up the "kind" of songs they write. I mean slower, groover, or more of a blackened vibe ones...
This all time full blast chaotic could be a bit tiring after a while on a full album...

sound like they are trying too hard, need more hooks in the songs
kyle seemed like a cool dude but he must be a real insufferable asshole behind the scenes

holy shit that's funny
also i missed this thread the first time around and have never heard these guys before, that second track just sounds like dollar store disalvo era cryptopsy to me
"Everyone who's reading this – Me, Brett, and Andy left Vitriol because Kyle sucks. That's it. It doesn't require an absolutely psychotic 2 part video series to explain. He irrationally screamed at the whole crew at the top of his lungs on multiple occasions we simply won't tolerate it, just like all the other 19 people who left this failed band. What more needs to be said? It's the same shit as every other victim of his abuse"

So he's the Travis Meeks (Days of the New) of the metal world, I see.

i need the drama to go harder, it's so stupid
they should have set his guitar on fire or something
he's raised $10,000 off this for 'travel expenses' man vitriol fans are really dumb, huh
People probably feel sorry for his dog that he took out on tour some reason.

how hard is it to bum rides and food across the U.S., i mean you only have to do it once. yeah you lose some dignity but maybe less than putting up this public crowdfunder and admitting to all your bands' fans you can't even pay to get home

odds that he was left high and dry with zero cash and legitimately couldn't afford to get home are next to zero, he's just milking his most gullible fans for a big payday because the opportunity to do so presented itself

he took his dog and girlfriend on tour, probably harder to bum rides doing that
apparently gofundme will automatically raise the donation goal every time it is met. he could have turned it off at the original goal but has just let it keep going, people keep donating so ????!?
vitriol isn't even that good, they (he) has two incredibly mid albums. metal archives shows the band has had something like 17 band members. how was that not a red flag to any of these new guys. how fucking stupid are the people in this 'business'. shouldn't there have been a contract to complete the entire tour or something like that (i'm sure there wasn't and it's all under the table)

at least for a stupid band like as I lay dying you have a band with some big success under their belt so anyone that joins that trainwreck can at least benefit from getting their name out there. joining a band like vitriol though? shit can't pay that well and you aren't doing yourself any favors.

this whole situation seems very funny to me
ive been a follower of keith merrow for many years via his youtube which mainly concentrates on gear, i always felt this seemed like a weird move for him to play with them.
and agreed, they have some interesting ideas but the songs never seem to go anywhere
Also that's quite a large pedalboard. Plus given what is known about his personality, I imagine he's the kind of hard-on bearer that frequently gets into heated exchanges with the venue's crew with regards to his setup.

That video is from them playing metro gallery in Baltimore last year.
