Emperor Announce First U.S. Tour In 15 Years

For the first time in roughly 15 years, Norwegian black metallers Emperor will be touring the U.S. this summer. The group will launch that abbreviated run on June 23rd before heading back at home in early July. Tickets for the tour will be up this Friday, February 17th at 10:00am local time.

Notably the trek takes its name from the band’s 1997 sophomore album “Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk“, which the band have celebrated past anniversaries for live.

their last US tour was in 1999

three reunion shows does not constitute a tour, and neither does this

I'll have to see how much these are before pulling the trigger

i actually would make the trip to NYC to see them if the timing weren't so bad, but that's right after i get back from nola so i don't think i can swing it

only just now discovering the '99 show was taped though, so at least i can relive my 16 year old glory days

Yeah the SP show will probably set me back a few hundred after travel, hotel room, merch, etc. so hopefully these won't be too pricey.
