Rediscovering Digimortal by Fear Factory

Post by Grudge »

I used to think this album was when Fear Factory went downhill. The last time I listened to these songs I think was way back at Corpsepyre's home in maybe 2001 or something. That was when I was starting to get into harder stuff.

There are at least 6 good songs on here I've been jamming for almost a month straight. I'm sure Rhino agrees with me.

What will become
Digimortal
Linchpin
Invisible Wounds
Acres of Skin
Repentance

I have no problem with this album, and I don't think many FF here do. The band has admitted that they were pressured by the record label to do more accessible songs, and it was obviously a huge step down after obsolete, but it still has a charm to it after all these years

If you haven't yet Imran, you really need to check out their last 4 albums, they are all better imo

Tail end of the album minus back da fuck up, if a little generic, aren't too bad either.

Oh, wow. Didn't expect I R Man to be making a Digimortal thread. Noice.

And yeah, I like some tracks off of this too. The first few and some towards the mid. It helps that the production absolutely slaps.

Definitely check out Mechanize though.

It was a nice surprise. I remember when Burton and dino said they reconciled and were starting a new band together, then announced it was ff :xx:

It's getting re-released next year with bonus tracks
