this is probably my favorite of his. it's from earlier in his career, upbeat and positive, not quite as complex as his pink moon stuff though.

supposedly for his last album, pink moon he couldn't even play and sing at the same time any more. i read something about how his playing had become too complex. and, he was too shy to play live any more.

sam beam is pretty popular. to me, he's very simple, nothing like the genius of drake. but i love the peace and contentment that he portrays. when comparing the lives of nick and sam, we see that one became depressed and dead at 24, and one became a teacher, a family man, and a touring artist.
