I would go to this if they were playing Florida. a couple of my friends dropped acid the last time Primus came through and they said it was one of their best trips ever.

Haven't seen primus yet so this show is very yes. I don't think I'll go dropping any acid though.

california, because my marriage was in an infinitely healthier place here and i had a shitload of money to spend on traveling

and it's just so goddamn different from any other place i've ever been

also this is the place where our first child comes from so its pretty much impossible to top

but thanks to the wonder of hindsight cincinnati has improved in both mine and meine wife's eyes since we left. a lot of what sucked about living there was our jobs, which were unrelated to the city itself. also our cat dying unexpectedly and terribly

if we were moving back to cincinnati for her new job, i would not be upset at all and would actually be quite pleased to get to try ohio out again. but, on balance, california

This was one of the worst venues I've ever seen a show at

What was so bad about it?

Figured getting to the venue at 715 would have been fine with doors being at 7, when we got there the line was about a block long still. Ended up taking 50 minutes to get in the venue so I missed the first 4 songs of clutch's set. The room itself is a big hall in the convention center so its better suited for a comic con instead of a big show like that. Bunch of makeshift bars with ridiculously long lines, overall volume was a little loud with how much echo was going on, it was also probably the hottest indoor show I've been to.

The bands themselves were awesome though

Clutch played 2 new songs and Neil dropped the line everyone aboard the fuck yeah express before they played DC sound attack

so basically a venue that has no business booking a show like this decided to give it a go? that sucks but hopefully you still had a good time.

maybe the usual nearby musical venue was already booked for that evening

Still sounds like a good show

I didn't go this time knowing it was gonna be shit. Read plenty about the issues this time around.
