I think Paul Gilbert is obviously a more well-rounded player. I just can't get past his classic-rock influences and the fact that his tone sounds like hitting a tin can with a wooden spoon.

Yngwie Malmsteen,Paul Gilbert,Steve Vai.........we are talking about really genius people.
I like a lot Yngwie cause I love neoclassical solos and I think he was a big influence for many guitarists. Also Paul Gilbert himself, was a fan of Yngwie, he told in an interview I read, that he was obsessed by Yngwie and he bought only fenders in his youth.
Respect for Yngwie. He is an arrogant person but what the hell, he is a living legend.
