note: posting this here cos
a) there's an official release so it's not like its just an mp3 of a rehearsal
b) this forum gets more views than the musicians section does

check it out guys. this material was all relatively old material that the guitar player/vocalist and I had laying around in bits and pieces, we spent about 2 months arranging them into songs then recorded it all in another month or so. we're working on all new material now. next release should be out sometime next year, we're aiming for feb-april.
any criticisms are accepted. if you like it, don't hesitate to buy the disc. the packaging is great, especially for a duplicated CD-R.
fyi: I played bass and did all mixing/mastering.

i like some of it. but to be honest, the guitar leads are kind of tone deaf. sorry.

as in they don't make any sense. its like trying to sing a note that sounds good, but singing an entirely different note instead. don't worry about it though. if you understand and feel music, then it's something you can overcome, that is if you hear what i hear. if not, then maybe i'm tone deaf. i dunno.

the leads? there's only one lead (in descent) and it's supposed to be dissonant. that's what you mean I'm guessing.

whatever the first track is on your myspace. the slow guitar melodies. it sounds like a really bad mix between sensible melody and dissonance. i dunno. i suppose if that's what you're going for, it's good, and just not my thing.

lol being facetious there or you're comparing the only lead on the album to a hoffman bros solo?
