I thought that was really funny.



To be honest (and I think its very clear) Marilyn was hardly original most of the time. He copied tons of things from people. I think he was trying to be like Trent a lot and there is a lot of David Bowie mashed in his persona as well.

That clusterfuck made for some fun stuff, but yeah as an artist himself, he fails. This is evident nowadays.

have you guys heard his latest album? he's trying a folk thing. i'd betchya a hundred bucks that he digs tom waits. that's cool. it sounds like he's almost trying to sing beautifully in his new album, but he doesn't quite break the barrier, if you know what i mean.



and i disagree with him not being original. you'd probably say the same if he used a blast beat. anywhoo.

I haven't listened to anything new from him since The Golden Age of Grotesque. He made some cool music but I feel like he was always trying to "be someone" instead of really just be himself.
