Maybe he was just listening in with his headphones to see if it picked up his playing better than normal triggers or something?

There is quite alot of creative beats on Gateways I find. He should do more of this.

one of my favorite things about Pete is that a lot of the time before he does a blast he'll do a crazy fast snare roll before and after the blast.
