just got the latest suffocation cd. it's a damn sight better than the last couple of efforts thank god. still something lacking compared to pfw though..

I got this back in may when I saw them live.
the album is killer and it's my favorite since Effigy, easily.

i agree. this can't hold a candle to Pierced's suffocating atmosphere or Despised's intensity. it's definitely better than the S/T, but STD has actually better songs. glad i didn't buy it

I don't know man. blasting this album on a nice stereo with the bass turned way up, holy shit.
Souls to Deny and the self titled fucking suck in comparison.
I never said it was better than Pierced, just that it;'s my favorite after Effigy, which is my favorite.

What's so wrong with the self titled? I rate it as one of their best, blood oath is very samey to me...
