seems like arioch is having more of an input in the music writing than on the past two albums. some parts have a very big funeral mist vibe to them. thoughts?

personally I can't wait, if this turns out anything like rom 5:12 meets salvation I will be very happy.

and after some of the things arioch started doing on "Maranatha" I can't wait to see what he does lyric wise here.

well...

"And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter." (Revelation 8:10-11).

that's where the title came from - a star that poisoned the waters. so go figure what the lyrics are going to be about, in typical Arioch fashion.

Chernobyl literally means black wormwood. I remember some people in Poland back in 1986 were thinking Chernobyl distaster was proof that apocalypse was happening right then.

after listening to it for the last few days, it wasn't as much of a failure as I thought. while some of the stop-start riffing is irritating, "jesus saves!" "anathema maranatha" and "antiflesh nimbus" all more than make up for it - tbh they could fit right into salvation.
