I actually own the CD. I found it on Ebay for like $50. They're a Czech band, on some obscure label. I believe its out of print too.

There isn't really anything that's similar at all. With that said, I consider this one of my favourite metal albums. My 2 favourite tracks are definitely Flowering Entities and A Step Closer

i like tapping along to this band in my notebook with a pencil because it sounds exactly like the snare drum on the album.

timeghoul will soon be rereleased on profound lore. (and i really see no similarity between LA and timeghoul) oh, and peeps diggin the temporal fiend should definitely check out Cosmic Atrophy (the first album was equally influenced by tg and demilich, while the upcoming sophomore promises to bear more resemblance to the former)



as for bands similar to LA... non really, and i'm not complaining. one is enough. anyway, check out Mitochondrion; parallels can be drawn stylistically but it's conceptually the direct opposite (LA is about celebrating life/happiness/hippy stuff , while Mito is about chaos worship and similar esoterica), and their rhythm sections are quite different (LA is all out flo mounier sloppy worship, while Mito uses a more war-metal approach to drumming, not too dissimilar to Axis of Advance and their canadian kin). and, tbh, i prefer Mitochondrion by a loooooooong shot (despite the pretty poor production/mixing job)
