i liked the music before i smoked, it's not like toking is a big subject in the tunes, only mentioned a couple of times over the spread of many albums

Neckred is total right. That thing has no sense Stormy. Is like saying: "I like Queen cause I like having my ass fucked as Freddie Mercury".

First of all I like the music, about what Bob smoked, I don't fucking care. If there is someone that consider Bob cool only for the weed thing, well, is a fucking retard.

P.s. I don't listen Bob Marley regularly, probably 2 times in a year . I listened him when I was a child.

i love bob marley. it's impossible for me to feel bad when i'm listening to his music. obviously, i'm not a pot-smoker nor do i care about the "cool" lifestyle associated with that mess.



also, i saw the wailers play (without bob, of course) back in the early 90's and it was one of the best and most uplifting shows i have ever seen. i wasn't intoxicated on anything, i was actually the DD for that adventure.

I don't smoke and never have been interested in that kind of thing but I think his music is awesome

consider yourself lucky, because apparently your neck of the woods doesn't have pothead culture. my thing has total sense, and i wouldn't bother to say it if i had observed otherwise. musically it is simplistic, and socially there is damn near nobody in western society that could possibly relate to anything he sang or cared about. i guess with all the rampant solipsism though, we certainly have an overwhelming force of people who have convinced themselves that they can relate, so maybe in some twisted sense or another i am wrong on that one.



surely there are isolated cases where my synopsis does not apply, but by and large, the HURR HURR GETTING HIGH connection is the only reason bob marley still has any relevance to this day.
