you can say what you want

but EVIL D IS the Morbid Angel FUCKING VOICE

I think the new album will be KILLER

I disagree.

David Vincent was the voice.

Steve Tucker was, too.

Jared Andersen never got the chance.

But Evil D is a dude that wears lipstick and vinyl shirts with Hot Topic pentagrams on them, and is a Genitorturer, whose only "metal" release in 10+ years was with Soulfly.

Evil D != David Vincent

I'm still a Tucker hard-on bearer. And Jared was amazing as we all know.

The only album where I REALLY like David is on Blessed. Covenant is good too but I think the diversity that David sings with on B is phenomenal. His vocals are also very nicely mixed within the music. On top of it but gels nice with the rest.

Really? To me he came off as more diverse on C. Compare "Rapture" to "Angel of Disease" to "Sworn to the Black" to "God of Emptiness."

Angel of Disease is a totally different story... it was recorded and mixed in a different fashion.

Well, to me he's more diverse on B.

I wouldn't know anything about that, but as far as I can tell he delivers a greater vocal range on C. I also like that album better, but I wouldn't say the vocals on one are better than the other.

That track is awesome and so is David in that recording.

I've grown into more of a Tucker fan but Covenant has one of the best vocals in metal, ever.

Disagreed. DsO comes to mind for that contest.

Steve Tucker was great and Formulas is one of my favourites but David takes the price still. Vincent has a certain groove over his style. Also all these awesome phrases he comes up with.

Not even close. David comes across more convincing than most extreme metal vocals on Covenant. Tucker on FFtf gives him a run for his money though. :insanelungcapacity:

No it is David. Just with a more (pre) Altars type of singing.

Just listening to the audio of this show now... :bang:

Just out of interest does anyone know how Trey recruited Steve when David left. Did they have auditions or had Trey just heard the Ceremony demo and asked Steve to join?

It's OK. But i like things like Internecine better.

I thought Ceremony was boring and Internecine ain't that good either. Jared needed to front Hate Eternal :thingy:

Steve Tucker had a fruital sound, but his voice was always very monotonous imo; it lacked the character David Vincent adds to his vocals. When Dave does his deep vocals, he is imo the ultimate Morbid Angel singer with Jared as close second.

Steve Tucker vocals was tight, and he did play some cool songs. Wish Vincent would learn Gateways songs and Heretic, that'd be awesome!

I actually hadn't realised until the other day that Internecine was formed by the remaining members of Ceremony after Steve left to join Morbid Angel. Also, Internecine toured with Morbid Angel sometime in the late-era of the gloryhole - that would have been an awesome show!

The real CD didn't sell very well and should be easy to locate. Ebay is one place to search, but I'm sure many mail order services like Relapse probably also have a bunch of copies.
